In England, Wales and Scotland it also makes producers, importers, anyone who places their branding on a product, and certain other product suppliers liable for injuries, deaths and property damage caused by defects in their products. In Northern Ireland similar provisions are made by the Consumer Protection (Northern Ireland) Order 1987.
