1. Visionary

The most influential entrepreneurs spend a significant amount of time in their heads thinking and visioning. They are naturally curious, creative, innovative and crave being in the constant process of discovery.

2. Sleep

“Going to sleep at a reasonable hour—before 11 p.m.—each day ensures that I will get up early after a good night’s rest, have time to exercise and meditate in the morning, and get to work early or on time,” says Anshey Bhatia of Verbal+Visual.

Sleep impacts everything from health to how you feel and look as well as thinking and decision making abilities. Just a couple hours more of real quality sleep could provide the edge needed to outperform, and feel a whole lot better in the process.

3. Early risers

Effective entrepreneurs rise early believing in the concept of, the early bird gets the worm. They start each day with some form of physical activity. It’s the method they use to wake themselves up, get their blood pumping and their mind sharp.

4. Money Management

Successful entrepreneurs are very careful with money management. They must be great in this area to balance cash flow and avoid going broke when they are really beginning to realize success. This doesn’t mean being cheap. Nor is throwing away money on losses to scale always the best business model. It’s really about appreciating that every dollar spent is either taking you closer or further from your goals.

5. Schedule

Successful entrepreneurs increase their efficiency by putting work first and socializing second. Socializing is important and life-giving for them. They see the value in getting out to be around people, not just for the human interaction and feelings of interconnectedness, but because being around others reduces stress and increases innovation. They choose to schedule this time at the end of the day when their work-pressures are off. This allows them to be fully present to those they are connecting and developing relationships with. Because they organize their lives in this way, it guarantees they will operate efficiently in any environment they choose to place themselves in.

6. Exercise

There is a misconception that successful people have the freedom to exercise whenever they want; however, this is not true for the exceptionally busy. With all the different variables at hand during a workweek it can be near to impossible to workout at the same time, or even in the same location each day. What is important, is not when or where they exercise, or even how long for that matter, but just that they do it. They exercise because exercise has proven to increase the neuroplasticity of the brain; making them smarter and more able to exist on the cutting edge of intelligence.

7. Delegating tasks

If you’re doing everything yourself, it may be worthwhile to develop a habit of delegation. After all, if you’re taking on all the aspects of running your business, you’re likely wearing yourself thin. Not only that, but you’re probably doing tasks that could easily be accomplished by someone else.
